    Corncockles and cornflowers are very different.
    They are not related!

    Agrostemma githago is corncockle and looks like this..

    Centaurea cyanus is cornflower..it looks like this....

    Jiffy yours is Centaurea Montana...or perennial cornflower and looks like this...
