I never understood the thing about cutting off the crust. That's the best bit!

I add it to any sandwiches if I'm having something that is nicely accompanied by a salad in general - so chicken or cheese etc. Obviously, bacon wouldn't require it...:heehee:

I never understand why people peel cucumber though. Might as well not bother at all.

They make square pizzas now, to make better use of space on delivery lorries etc, so I dare say many foods will gradually go the same way. Don't know if they're more popular than the traditional round ones though.
They'll charge more too, for all the extra bits you're getting!

Essential, sliced into fine strips, with smoked salmon and spring onions in home made sushi :)

@BB3 you're assuming that the bread had a crust. Often as not it's that sliced plasticky pappy idustrial stuff.

@fairygirl Some people find cucumber and raw red peppers hard to digest with painful consequences. Not enough beans on wholemeal toast in their youf probably and cabbage cooked for a month before serving so they can't handle fibre.

        Not a problem here, fortunately.

In the greenhouse I find my cucumbers prefer a bit more shade and humidity than the tomatoes and peppers.
