Well done, eleagnus7! We "stole" a dog a couple of months ago, but unfortunately he ran away (possibly back to his horrendous home not far away) after he had had two good meals, a pat and a tossle with it ... and we were doing it for friends so they could have him when they came back into the country.

By the way, Gogs, we are five in a bed now .... whoa !!! [IMG] [IMG] :D

Reading this I do hope none of my neighbours think my cats aren't allowed in  They come and go as they please and until the weather turns hardly ever spend the night indoors. Muffty can even open the front door when it's left on the snick and often leaves us dead creatures in the kitchen [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I think cats that are never let in show it because they look so neglected. As Eleagnus7 said - full of fleas and worms. And aren't you honoured having pressies left for you in the kitchen! [IMG]

A friend of mine had a cat turn up regularly and she started feeding him cos, although he looked healthy, she thought the owners may have gone off and left him. After a long time of feeding him, (he would disappear and come back on a daily basis), she got a call from the lady in the house a few doors up, backing onto her garden. She had wondered why HER cat had been disappearing so they put 2 and 2 together and decided he was very clever, playing them off against each other like that! The 2 women became best of friends and continue to 'share' Moonlight after 5 years!! [IMG]

Jjordie - when you stand on a mouse spleen in bare feet at 5 o clock in the morning, it's hard to feel honoured :D :D :D
Lovely story Marge. It's funny what brings people together [IMG]

Super story, Marge. [IMG] Don't think I'd be very amused with mine and certainly not honoured if I stepped on a mouse spleen at ANY time of the day!

This seems to be a special "cat people" thread. I hate the words "Cat lover" as people usually use them in a derogatory manner. Keep up the observations on stray cats which visit you regularly, as even if they belong to someone they may need special attention for something like earmite and have given up trying to get their owners to see they are in trouble and are trying to ask for help from you! I have read and known of people who have ignored their own pets with earmite and been succesfully prosecuted by the RSPCA - this is regarded as such a horrendously agonising condition.
Keep up the good work all.!!!!
