    OK.Three more clues. My oils protect me from desiccation(just found out what that word means)and are flammable.Hence my common name....

    Here goes..
    Common and Botanical name both begin with the letter'C'.
    Hardy perennial and annual.
    Flowers may be cut and dried.
    Attractive long lasting 'cornflower like' blooms in Summer.
    Cultivated species in Blue,White and Blue and Yellow...("Recently available in a rare white form"..I'm told :D )
    1-2ft tall,warm borders.

    An evergreen clump forming plant.
    Hardy.
    Likes damp sunny spots.
    Arching stems of pendent, bell shaped flowers.
    Flowers mid to late summer.
    Pink or Purplish flowers..
