    Well, I could say Jacaranda which is also the Brazilian rosewood used for making guitars but they are South American and not that tall, me thinks! :rolleyes:

    [​IMG] How about Juglans regia or Common Walnut..?? They are common in North America & here I think. Although the Americans graft English stock onto the root system for cropping... [​IMG]

    I've been watching this poor old tree slowly die for the last 15yrs, it must be a couple of hundred years old at least, probably more.

    I think I have a couple of K beckxiana up but am not sure as it was in the tray that got upturned and anything coming up is a mystery now. :
