As I understood it GC was moving to a new host.

That usually involves changing the Domain Name (i.e. gardenerscorner.co.uk) to point to the new host. The "location" of the domain name is held in a sort of giant telephone directory, centrally.

Copies of that directory are duplicated around the world, and each individual person's ISP will be using a particular copy of the master directory.

The speed at which any particular directory-copy gets updated is, in my experience, indeterminate. So some folks will get to the new location earlier, and other folks will still be seeing the old host / site.

That may well mean that, through hanpenstance, the Mods are still seeing the old site.

Having said that I would have expected the Mods to have access to the new site via some other route, otherwise they would not have been able to set up the new site at all - presumably ...

... but that all assumes that they have moved the Domain Name to a new host, and the replication of the "directory" around the place is slow, as has been my experience first-person-in to last-person-in can easily be a couple of days.

I'm sure all will become apparently shortly. Perhaps they were so pleased with how well it had gone that they all retried down-the-pub - that too is my experience of moving Domains to new hsots ;)

I bet they have forgotten to turn something on Dee.:)

I'm willing to bet there is this great big valve, right down in the basement, that they 've not found yet, and its still off.

    They will stumble across it,..................eventually.:hehe:

Be careful, the sea cocks are there too. We don't want the ship to sink.
