    I'm glad its given a few of you the spur to have a go.
    It is really easy to do and not much trouble really.
    The size of the plant in the picture could I reckon be achieved in about 5 yrs from a single bulb, given good watering and feeding through the summer.
    Personally I'd say ignore any suggestions that they like to be potbound, but at the same time only pot on in stages, (my pic is in a 12in pot and now very potbound)
    My plants are now leafless, almost bone dry and in the unheated garage where they will stay until late March when on warmer days they will get just a slight watering to get things going.

    The red and white one, is, I think getting to the point where it needs dividing and repotting, as that is not flowering nearly as well as it was.
