Amish paste tomato update

    The big ones are starting to ripen.
    This is the first and may be the biggest. We shall have to wait a few days to find out.
    This first picture you can see what a handful it is.

    It has a waist line of 10" !

    And weighs in at 239 grammes (Thats just over 1/2 pound)

    Small harvest this morning and comparison between the Armish and tumblers.
    Six Armish v about 60 tumblers.

    One of the big ones has come good and the results are below.

    Its a whopper...
    Heavy at 361 grammes

    Waistline is 11 3/4 inches
    There is one I`m thinking is even bigger!

    I`m saving a few seeds from these tomatoes and drying them one some paper.

    Amish paste is one of my favorites, i did alot of canning with it last year, sadly this year, with our cold and wet summer, i didnt get a chance to can anything.
    Nice pics too.

    Thanks for the interest fellow GCers. It makes these posts all worthwhile.
    Just to finish I still have about 6lbs of them in a brown carrier bag with a banana to assist in ripening.
