This one is very scented so it's all quite heady down on the dining patio with this to one side and the orange blossoms to the other.

My beautiful pink B suaveolens is way behind and doesn't even have any buds yet.

Do they have specialist polinators, like fruit bats or something Victoria?

Stunning Victoria; so nice to see a blue sky too, after our recent "heatwave" we're stuck in a dull, wet, cold rut, can't wait for the sun to return now to warm everything up again...

As we are 'cooling down somewhat' from 35c days and 25c nights (at least 5c down on each) one can spend a little time in the garden in the evenings although we've been slightly overcast.

My Iochroma has shot up and getting very leggy so will have to cut it in half (from 5-6 feet) this weekend. Here is Munch in front of it ...

... and it's in the center of this pic ...

... the clusters seem much larger this year ...

My candy-striped Amaryllis didn't bloom for me last year (kept outside) but is glorious this year ...

Bougainvillea against the house looks great ...

Brugmansia is in second flush of blooms ...

... and the Mandevillea is marrying up on the trellis with the grapevine ...

The Brug is looking good Vicky and so is that common boring red stuff on the wall.:heehee:
Bet you wish you were here instead. It touched a sweltering 14c today and could be a hot and sticky 8c tonight!!

            :) Hiya strongy

This Brug (labelled a B sanguinea when I bought it from Aldi the year before last) is doing exceptionally well. My pink B suaveolens is coming along now with three buds at long last. Bit of 'leaf eating' on both but don't think the high temps have helped especially having to water twice a day.

 We are a 'cool' 24c at the moment, only went to 26c today and hopefully will be in the high teens tonight for a pleasant sleep with the windows open.

Are you off to your brother's this year?

Ooh! It's 4C as I write and didn't rise above 8C all day. We ought to be up in the high teens but things have gone crazy this year. Heatwave in April and then rotten weather since.

There's always a bright side though. We've no flippin shortage of water:wallbanging:

When I get a bigger greenhouse I'll be growing Brugs again.:blue thumb:

Vicky, my brother has been over here for the last to weeks although we only saw him for a day. He's gone to a cottage in Norfolk for a week so is probably suffering from Hyperthermia! Crete is about 25c so he will be glad to get back and by July he will complain that it's too hot to go out!!:rolleyespink:
We are off to Kenya this year so we won't be going to Crete as well.

              :) Morning strongy.

Aha, I think I remember you are off to Kenya this year ... special occasion trip ... I bet it will be hot there! :WINK1:

Bliss, we went to a very pleasant 16c last night and it's just 18c now, high today forecast 23c and wall-to-wall sunshine so we are back to normal! :hapydancsmil: We may even have a few showers over the weekend if we behave ourselves ... :love30:
