An Algarve Garden 2013

Clive, June/July is normal for us with about an almost 8 week blooming period. It is obviously different with the Florida ones for Sis as she said they are not as 'pretty or clustered' as ours and the ones there are lucky if they bloom for 2-4 weeks! ... ours go for 6-8 weeks thankfully.

I shall look out for the Allamanda seed if you are interested in trying in a sheltered position in your new home ... apparently they are now an 'invasive weed' in Aussie ... ... you do have to laugh at times, don't you?

 

It would be worth a try, I've not grown Allamanda from seed, I wouldn't chance one outside here.

John, Boo went around the screen four times whilst I was posting, across the keyboard and back to where he sits on a mat to my left. He prefers to sit on my lap whilst I am typing! This was his 'I'll sit here and stare at you' position. He will be 18 on 1st September so I usually let him do what he wants to do, bless him ... ... except beat up Cal and Munchkin which he does daily and chases them everywhere! For an old guy with an arthritic hip, he does okay having almost lost him 18 months ago ...
