    I have five stems on my Agapanthus this year ...

    T'other Half repaired and man handled the giant pot (60cm x 50cm) from the Strelizia nicholai which broke when it was removed a few weeks back onto the front patio and transplanted the Beaucarnea recurvata and three Beaucarnea guatemalensis (Red Pony Tail Plant) into it.

      The blue bench was painted green yesterday. It sits outside the kitchen door ...

      The open door to the right is The Baffa or Outdoor Living Room ...

      Having had the Jacarandas pollarded last year we didn't think we would get any flowers this year, but we have espied some clusters high up ...

      They are Melaleuca stems mingling with the Jacaramda fronds.

        The blue bench has been painted green :scratch::biggrin:

        There is something really dodgy about that statement but I'm not sure quite what it is. :roflol:

          Sorry Pete, I bought the bench for Christmas so it was "featured" in the 2020 thread.

            @Victoria ,..beautiful images,..you have a VERY beautiful selection of plants and awesome blooms,..its always so interesting to see what is blooming in your garden,..though wishing we could grow them in ours,..shame about the big pot,..one would hardly notice the repair job.

              There were five paving slabs left over from the path so T'other Half has put them in front of the Jungle Room for the bench ... Schefflera to the left. Beloperone guttata to the right ...

                For my record I am putting up my favourite shrubs, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. These are the ones I currently have but don't know all the names.

                    Thank you. It was my goal to have a tropical garden in a sub-tropical climate, and succeeded following some failures. Off to the garden center today as T'other Half suggested we get two more Hibiscus ... I am out the door .... :hapfeet:

                        Sorry I have taken so long to keep up with your garden @Victoria, it is interesting to see what you grow ... your Hibiscuses are wonderful, I didn't think there were so many different colours.
                        Do you get berries on your Rhipsalis baccifera ?

                        Hello Michael, thank you for visiting.

                        No, not yet. Do I remember correctly you have one? I have named it Cousin Itt after The Addams Family character. I also call my nephew Cousin Itt! :heehee:

                        My Hibiscus are only a smidgen of what is available. I am annoyed as T'other Half took me to our favourite garden center to get two more (amongst other things) and it is closed!!! Turns out it is a holiday here (Corpus Christi) but I thought garden centers stayed open. We shall go back tomorrow,

                            I got to my favourite Garden Center today but they only had Yellow Hibiscus which I have in two shades so we got the Mandevilla T'other Half wanted only they didn't have the mixed pot so we had to get three. :rolleyespink:

                            We got ..
                            * Begonia hybrid "Summerwings"
                            * 2 x Pelargonium pelatatum Bright Pink
                            * 2 x Pelargonium zonale Peach
                            * 2 x Lantana Yellow / Fuschia
                            * 2 x Lampranthus Purple (wanted Orange)
                            * 4 x Portulaca Umbraticolata
                            * 3 x Mandevilla Pyramid Red, White and Bright Pink

                            [IMG]

                            The Mandevilla will all be put in one large pot we are removing a Schinus Molle (Pink Pepper Tree) from. Have never seen it before but the White and Pink ones have shiny leaves and double flowers, just stunning.

                              :whistle: I thought I could call myself the CCC Botanical Garden of Algarve.

                              I live in a Casa Antiga (old house of undeterminable age made of clay and stone) called Casadinho (Little House) and I live between two hamlets called Calvos and Carrasqueira.
