There's one of those trees at the bottom of our road. It flowers beautifully in May here!

 

There's one in a front garden in my road, planted by a previous owner, the new people hacked it down to ground level but were too lazy to get the root out, its making a comeback now and over 6ft tall and flowered last year.

 

Great pics Vicky, I can feel the heat radiating from them. Beautiful.

 

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (single flower on the same shrub as the previous double) ...



Brugmansia with lots of buds (and pods) ..

Pachira aquatica, Crinum and Calla ...


Ficus Elastica Variegata,Schefflera, and Allamanda in corner ...

 

The Black Eyed Susan is taking over the trellis early ..



... and in the rockery the purple trailing Verbena is looking grand with yellow Freesias ...

 

I love the way the Trailing Verbena is sprawling onto the Raised Patio ...


... and the yellow Fucsias are blooming ...


We moved the Adenium Nursery from the South window in The Baffa to the Front of House Patio and attached a chair brolly ...

... not so much for the sun but for WHEN it MIGHT rain to protect the young plants ...

Sitting out front here we get a heady scent of the Freesias on the Raised Patio.

I have some more self-seeded Freesia blooming in the rocks near the gate ..
.
It is lovely sitting out front with the scent wafting around. I couldn't grow these in Buckinghamshire for love nor money and they go wild here to my delight.
