Here you go, Babe, so you don't have to go looking. At least they can't get into your private Oasis ... they have in mine ... [IMG]

Actually it looks a little like my allotment, but perhaps slightly tidier. :D

What, your allotment or my garden?

They are VERY tidy builders for the most part .. there is the odd bit of me saying ... "get that
**** off my shrubs/plants! I don't care you work on the Quinta where they are millionaires ... get that **** off my plants". It's always removed. [IMG]

We only have three oot of six for the next two days ...

    Than what garden pete? :D

    Have I missed something somewhere?

But I agree .. I am tidy! [IMG] We have to CONTROL the builders.

Maybe I'll have a garden to show with pride in a few months.

At least you HAVE builders - every day! French builders seem to arrive for a couple of hours, then shove off again! I'm dreading having the septic tank installed!!! I imagine all sorts of horrors....

And think of the fun you'll have refilling all the borders and stuff when you know you can freshen up afterwards in that super new interior..!!! (Minus halogen heating...!)

What do you mean "refilling all the borders", Hy ... I don't plan on losing that much! We're waiting for the new fireplace to be delivered by Leroy Merlin now ... before 7pm they said ... phoned yesterday to confirm delivery!

Anyway, I have managed to tiptoe through the building works today, avoiding half naked men with wheelbarrows, and got a few nice shots of things away from the works.

Up on deck there is the Cycad revoluta (Sago Palm) opening it's new set of twelve fronds ...

... and the Carissa macrocarpa (Natal plum) with its heady Gardenia-like scented flowers ...

Under the Prunus dulcis (Almond tree) the giant Geraniums glowing in the sunshine ...

    ... Lantana camara ...

... my double Petunias just about holding up to the heat ...

... my Brugmansia sauvolens opening it's first bloom and heavy with many, many buds, thanks to advice from walnut ...

    The ever-blooming Bougainvillea ...

... and my favourite photo of the day, Pandorea jasminoides varigata being overshadowed by one of the Jacarandas ...

    Lots more pretties Sis!

Hey, doesn't your Natal Plum have a lot of blooms this year? I love your double Petunias and the Black-eyed Susan and the darling weeny Gum-Drops, and ..... Thanks for sharing with us, the colours are especially needed after all the rain we have been having up in northern Europe.

Thanks, Sis. This is my newest Black-eyed Susan, an orange one. I cut the yellow one back to soil level several weeks ago as it was straggly at the base and it's a metre tall already with just one bloom.

Another wander around the garden avoiding builders gravel / sand piles (but having to stand on them to take some pics) so as not to have them in the photos, I managed to get quite a few ....

Viburnum, Canna, Bush Bougainvillea, Rosemary, Hardenbergia and Brugmansia under a Jacaranda in the sand garden.

The Jacaranda in question, the smaller of the two ...

Right foreground, the Poinsettia growing quickly from it's Spring chop, left foreground, Lantana and the Cobeae vine clambering over the shed ...

Mini Roses holding up behind the gravel pile ...

... and the Callistemon 'Flaming Fire' also behind the gravel pile ...

Lantana camara glowing in the sunshine ...

    Verbena in a rockery ...

The blue / now pink Hydrangea enjoying a shady spot ...

    .... to be continued ...

The yellow Thunbergia alata (the orange one seems to be suffering from the heat at the moment ...

My hanging basket of Portulace grandflora, which I had to take down to photograph ...

Yellow Lantana camara, always later to open than the pink/yellows and white/yellows (this is not on the patio) ...

    Up on the deck ...

The Cycad has now opened it's new fronds and they are larger than last year's ...

    The Podranea ricasoliana ...

Thank you, my dearest. I love Thunbergias, and have the three ... never had much luck with them in Bucks!

I'm just so chuffed my Brug has recovered, albeit at the top of the plant.
