Lol your cyclamen reminded me of Victoria, sadly it is not one, but if you google it you might see the similarity. They are available from seed but no good in your climate plus you say you aren't very good with seeds. ;)

I'll have a look strongy. No, I certainly won't try them from seed but I have such good fortune with them from corms as you can see, year after year.

Please think of Victoria species for me, thank you. [IMG]

It's the nutrients I was concerned about really. I have done pumpkins in pots before and other crops and altough its possible its not always worth it. Maybe they will be sweeter baby stalks done in pots ?

Thanks babe for the link [IMG]

I was given a piece of rhubarb last winter and I planted it in a plastic dustbin.
The soil mix was screened topsoil, peat and some well rotted manure. There were about five leaves this year but the stems were too small to pick so I will wait and see what it produces next summer.

Lol, one of the surfinia petunias I will be using (from my trade cat) is Victoria Yellow. [IMG]
It is probably available elsewhere but under a different name sometimes Cream.

I say go for it now, Babe, if you don't try you don't know. Actually, I don't know when you're supposed to plant ... must look back at the thread I put up. I don't know because I rarely have rhubarb as much as I love it because t'other half doesn't.

Do plan on doing an apple and blackberry/raspberry crumble this weekend when friends come over for Sunday lunch ... haven't done that for years! [IMG]

strongy, can't keep Petunias alive for more than a month here ... but it's weird as the Councils can in their gardens.

    More thinking required ... [IMG]

They are winter flowers for us, strongy. Well, some year round as they are perennials here. [IMG]

Was at Lidl today and I'm sure it's the Magnolia that is in full about to burst bud in the carpark ... camera with me next week.

Actually, we are rather mild for January with temps hitting 18 day and not below 10 at night ... still have that log fire going though. [IMG]

Hello mira. I'm not really familiar with Manihots, but typically Hibiscus only bloom for one day ... this is why I took this pic today as it will be gone tomorrow or the next ...

Sometimes I've had luck with them staying for several days. The Turk's Cap (Sleeping Hibiscus) I have lasts longer.

Can you take a photo of yours so I can see what it looks like?
