Thanks, Fran. We're actually coming into one of our good seasons during the rains. Over the next few months you won't beleve what's blooming here. It's wonderful.

During the summer months when everyone thinks "flowers" we don't have that much because of the heat.

Ya'll (that's you will all) see what it's like in a hot country in the winter over the coming months ... it's beautiful.

I had SAD syndrone in England for many years but I don't have it here, except for the odd moment. I also in later life developed an allegy to rapeseed ... everywhere in Bucks, I could hardly breathe! T'other half has also had problems which the warmth has aleviated here.

We moved to the IoW but that wasn't good enough. We won't say we'll stay here till forever.

It's so lovely and sunny today, I had to get out and take some piccies ...

The rockery is very green and a few Felicias are peeking out ..

The BoPs are coming with a vengeance now. Threre are at least 8 of them, including Concorde who got whopped to the gound somehow (wind or kitten!) and is now unceremoniously tied up to a cane complete with cork on top! ....

The Shrimp Plant seems to prefer it's shadier position now and continues to flower non-stop ....

The new Passiflora Victoria violacea has lots of strings of buds ....

The mini Roses blend beautifully with the terracotta and the sun shining on them ...

Solanum rantonnetii always enjoying the sun ...

    I'm curious LOL.
When do the leaves drop of the jacaranda, and do you find that the dead leaves have a nasty smell especially when wet.

Pete, the leaves only drop with a sharp quick frost, which we can have. In saying so, here with me it's only the top of the trees that catch it so they look rather strange (should this happen this year I'll take a pic to show you). During this time we can be quite wet and we haven't had a bad smell ... thank goodness, as each one is outside a bedroom window ...

No, they don't smell nasty but they are a pain in the backside in the summer when it's hot and they start to drop their fronds and make a mess everywhere. It is actually recommended not to plant these near swimming pools because of that. Of course, we don't have that problem!
