    Yes - most likely @Dovefromabove - do you need more coffee? ;)

    Mine are just starting to appear. They've taken a while to get going, but I probably keep forgetting they're in there and most likely dig them out when I'm moving other plants. Silly old bint that I am.

        I find they move. They never stay where I plant them and they pop up in different places every yr. I have many ... but all over the place, whereas I would prefer a goodly patch somewhere. Ah well! That's gardening for ya! :)

        We also have A. nemorosa which is beginning to self seed as well. A. De Caen however does not thrive.

        Same here with those de Caens @Palustris.
        I'm hoping my nemorosas will start to thrive and spread in the next couple of years :smile:

        I planted lots in a woodland area at my last house in France and they all disappeared. I bought more and left them outside the French windows by mistake. Mice ate them, I saw one scurrying away and there were mouse droppings.

        my crocus are surviving well .. so its not squirrels then ! I certainly have plenty of mice in the garden and hanging around the bird feeders so almost certainly they are the culprits.
        @fairygirl .. definetly anemone blanda.
        Thanks for all your responses folks !

        For anyone wishing to propagate any of these anemones, sow the seed when it is still green as it just comes off the plant. It germinates really well.

          Our blandas are brilliant. Love the way when the sun gets to them they open fully. We don't mind that they migrate because they are so lovely in these days which can be cold and grey and then the sun comes out.

          Sun? What is this strange phenomenon of which you speak? :) Been in very short supply down here so far in 2024. :gaah:
