Wow, Jenny, it's a real giant! Mine is three times smaller and a profuse bloomer, but your picture makes me wonder if I shouldn't plant it behind the rose or else it might block it from sight.

Also, I have a white gaura variety from seed. It's still in its infancy, so it is spending its first winter indoors.

I think it's more the "Parks and Gardens " formal deep bed variety which the French go for in a bug way. Most of their larger towns have them. I have bought Gaura Lindheimeri Sparkle White. Just had a look at the packet=sowing time Feb to April. I must start them up soon,

        Here I am...
After all the plans, due to some urgent family matters, we actually had to move away from the house for two months (mid-February to mid-April). I was able to cope with the sowing period anyway. I gave the seeds a good start, but some of the annuals are not performing particularly well this season (I mean some new nasturtium varieties).
The dahlias are also growing very slowly. I attribute it to the low temperatures we had here until the end of June.
However, the overall result (garden-wise) makes me quite happy! :ccheers:

Let me show some of it. Here are selected shots from the Rhododendron period (end of May):

Finally, some nasturtiums. This is what they looked like about 2 weeks ago. There isn't a single one now. I hope they are having a break before re-blooming. I'll try to assist them in doing so.

Thank you for all the kind words and comments!
Oh, @wiseowl, at first I thought that 'the glass flower' was the vernacular name of some of my plants and I googled it to find the Latin equivalent!

Here are some roses for you, although this year's yield was heavily damaged by the winter frosts. Actually, I lost some roses. :frown:

The last one bloomed for the first time this year and is my absolute favourite for the season!

Well, this is the garden so far.
I happen to travel on jobs abroad more frequently this year, and this keeps me gasping behind season in one-off campaigns of cleaning, pruning, transplanting, whatever...
I can't spend much time on any forums (although I have much more stuff to write about, actually). :)
I'd like to thank @Lorea for the perfect batch of Verbena bonariensis seeds! :blue thumb: I had also harvested some from the only verbena which germinated with me last year (after some crazy sowing procedure invloving cold treatment of the entire tray, darkening and, you-name-it, types of pampering). This spring, I gave them no special treatment at all. All pots germinated 100%, in two-three weeks. Now, I have wonderful groups of healthy verbenas all around the border and I hope to see them in blossom soon.

                              I hope you're all fine! :wub2:
I love it here, I'll try to be around (at least during the summer).

The first part of the shots (up to the *** sign) were taken a couple of days ago. The rest come from the beginning of June. Click on the thumbs to enlarge.
