Thanks Shiney, her other love is big cats as she lived in Kenya for a few years as a child, we hope to go there in a few years time, things might have settled down again by then.
She has a large David Shepherd print of rhinos which she cherishes.
    You certainly have got around!

The rhinos were in the HLUHLUWE (pronounced shlu shluwee) Game Reserve - 2nd largest in S.A. after the Kruger NP.

The elephants were in the Addo NP, in land from Port Elizabeth, S.A.

We were able to get quite close to some of the animals, mainly the bigger ones, but the meerkats etc were much to wary. Unfortunately the zoom on my camera is rubbish [IMG]

I found this in the Krantz Kloof Gorge near Durban

These were spotted in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens near Cape Town. The gardens are a definite 'must' if you are ever near there. Apart from great gardens on a fantastic setting the have some superb sculptures.

I found this on the island of Praslin, in the Indian Ocean, 5 days after the tsunami

The next set of photos were taken underwater just off Mauritius. There is not much colour in them because, apparently, the wavelength of colours changes as you go deeper underwater.

"In ideal daylight conditions and clear ocean water, photographic film fails to record red at about 15 ft (4.5 m) in depth. Orange disappears at 30 ft (9 m), yellow at 60 ft (18 m), green at 80 ft (24 m), and at greater depth only blue and black are recorded on film. To restore color, underwater photographers must use artificial light."

This fish just came from the wreck below to have a look who was taking the photos

Adult Paso Fino horses. I think they are the only breed of horse that trots and runs by lifting both legs on one side of their bodies at the same time. This gives them a very smooth and level movement. The riders do not move up and down!
