His deep understanding of the mobility issues Shirl suffered carried forward to him being an absolute rock as I was battling with my own mobility after coming out of hospital. Make no mistake, folks like Eddy, @wiseowl @shiney and many others on this forum were instrumental in pushing me to 'get my legs back' - - I won't ever forget it.

What was Eddy's favourite drink, I was about to have a G & T but thought he might have preferred wine ?

He was indeed - single malt or a good blend.

I admit I am on cider as my insides don't cope with whiskey any more.

Not good for a Scotsman, but I struggle with it these days.
I've gone onto the odd G+T as @JWK likes sometimes, can say the odd Bacardi and Coke is quite smooth.
                  Anyway, Cheers to Eddie.

We normally have Johnnie Walker just for visitors , not had any visitors for a year so it must have evaporated.

Deeply embarrassed that this is the first time I've noticed this thread. Such sad news, as with others I will raise a glass tonight to the memory of @ARMANDII

My garden is a living tribute to Eddy's kindness and generosity, so every time I potter round, the hostas, hemerocallis and geraniums remind me of him. Cheers, Eddy

I’ve since planted another...
