They cant bring back fox hunting for two reasons.
First one, apparently all the horses and the hounds had to be put down, due to the fact that they had no further use, ....or so they told us when the ban came in.;)

            Secondly, it hasn't actually stopped.;)

                BREAKING NEWS

A Spokesperson for the Electoral Commission has confirmed that the 2017 General Election will take place over two days – it has now been extended so the polls will be open on both the 8th and 9th of June to accommodate the ‘huge number’ of voters who have registered at the last minute.

In order to ease health and safety concerns regarding overcrowding in polling booths, a media campaign is now underway to let voters know which day they should attend their polling station and cast their ballot.

People who intend to vote Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green, SNP or Independent will be instructed to attend on the 8th June, while Conservative, UKIP, BNP, EDL and Britain First voters will be told to go to their allocated polling station on 9th June.

P.S. Apparently, due to the lateness of this decision, many voters nay not receive official notifications from their local electoral registration departments before polling day, so just ignore your polling cards and turn up on the revised dates.

ADMIN EDIT - For clarity, please note that the above post is purely humorous, and NOT factual.

Does the SNP losing almost 40% of their MPs mean no referendum?

@wiseowl I agree with most of what you have said but think that the DUP will vote with the Conservatives on most issues and this will keep their majority. Rather a dicey situation. :dunno:

Our local MP (Cons) has got back in with an increased majority (up another 5.2%). This is because he is an excellent constituency MP. Over the years it has been a traditional Labour stronghold but they haven't been able to find a candidate that can get anywhere near him (his third win).

One bit of good - no absolutely fantastic result from the election.....
The SNP's former leader Alex Salmond has lost his Gordon seat amid a Scottish Conservative surge. :yahoo:
