    Reminds me of something with the mauve midrib....betony or comfrey or foxglove or....?

              OK thanks it seems Verbascum gets the vote and as I said earlier the name does ring a bell with me.

              So presuming it is then should I go ahead and plant them out now or wait until Spring ?
