Anybody know which hardy Geranium this is?

Well done @Plantminded and @Silver surfer you are both correct. I did not really know what to call the corms/ tubers/ rhizomes, they look like strings of orangey pearls, nothing like any Geraniums I have ever known. I will put up a photo of the “ tuberous root system” tomorrow which might interest others. Thanks for identifying much appreciated.

 

These are the wee strings of “ pearls”. You will see what I mean about them being nothing like any other Geraniums that I have anyway. I wonder if there are other similar varieties.Gold star to anybody who can guess why I am not pleased with the object in the other photo who was “ helping” take the photo of the tubers. I could have quietly shot him!.
