Just placed an order for perennials with Chiltern Seeds including Drosera, lilies, dianthus and corydalis.
I've had drosera seed, from them, before which germinated well enough but they've just diminished in number and variety over the years.

The Chiltern's catalogues have just arrived. Thankfully I checked my seedbox before whipping out the PayPal, apparently I was very lucky with the sales in the distant past of November and have everything I can possibly grow

So it'll just be some mightily interesting (Chilterns know how to write their descriptions!) mini veg for tubs, perhaps a special herb or two (honestly, who could resist a tree Basil? :love30:), and just maybe some succulents. I'll give Blue Cereus another go. The Teenager wants to grow artichokes but we absolutely don't have room. No. Strictly no. Njet. Nicht. Nein. Nada. Unless of course some of the front lawn goes...

I much prefer reading the actual catalogues but ordering online.

Due to huge stocks of saved seeds, plus loads obtained for nowt, I have so far for 2020 only bought 2 (two) seeds.

Ditto Scrungee....I bought loads of sarah raven seeds in a sale and their sow by date is 2021 so got plenty to go at. Although I will still have a look online. I want to get sowing now but I know it's far too early lol

I received my AGS seed distribution just before Christmas, so 23 packs of seeds to plant (plus other seed that is still viable from previous years). It's surprising how long some of the seed stays viable, and I don't treat it particularly well. I am also tempted by an organic gardening catalogue that turned up at my house for previous owners (no forwarding address, and anyway, they never planted anything here - just plain lawns!). Has some interesting varieties of tomatoes and sweet corn. By the way, has anyone here ever grown glass gem corn? Is it really as bright as the pictures online?

                  I've started @Snorky85 !!
Only with Cleome....have grown it before with greatly varying success levels, but last year was 100% failure! So have started early to accommodate failures! :heehee:

Which Cleome variety are you growing @Upsydaisy ?

Last Year I grew Queen series mixed with little success. This year I'm growing boliviensis which I think is a new variety which white flowers and pink stamens

Just had a Google @andrews , that's a very nice looking one. I've only done Violet Queen and Helen Campbell White. Two years ago I manage to get a few but last year was a wash out. I like a challenge and hate to be beaten .....or I'm just a glutton for punishment!!:dunno:;)

I think that anyone growing from seed has a bit of both in them. For me, I want plants that are a bit different and, being a Yorkshireman, I don't like to pay garden centre prices. If you can call the importers of ready grown plants garden centres.

I know its a long way off but if we have a dry autumn I'll be saving the seed and could send some your way.

I begrudge paying garden centre prices too @andrews. I grow all the plants for our garden and my Dad's from seed.

Aw! Yes please if that will prove possible:ThankYou:
