Are you saying that some of you were lucky enough to stop cutting it?
    I now feel cheated!!

Moss is a classic sign of compaction and or shade - Stingo. If its compactions then aeration, scarifying and oversowing should help.

    Thanks Fran

I'm getting someone to come and look at it from greenthumb, apparantly they will access my lawn and tell me what needs doing and depending on the price I may get them to do the hard work!

I'm planning on losing some of the lawn anyway and that will include some of the badly affected parts.

Hoping to get our front lawn cut and edged sometime over the weekend, though I shall let our new pets have a nosh of the grass first :D

It seems like everyone is planning on getting rid of parts of their lawns. Now we are going to get heat waves every year,we might as well say goodbye to grass, though I don't like decking as it gets dangerous in the winter months.Quite a few of my friends have slipped over on theirs...

Stingo,Green thumb are meant to be pretty good.Lots of people in our village use them and are pleased with the results..Good Luck

    Thanks Kandyfloss

A lady rang me today to arrange when her hubby could come and have a look, i just hope they are not too expensive; apparantly he will do a survey and then a quote but there is no obligation to go ahead.

Oh and by the way I cut it today and edged it, doesn't look too bad either; just needs reshaping and the greenthumb man to have a look [IMG]

Cut mine they look ok, what I do this time of the year because the grass is always wet through rain or dew is a few hours before I plan on cutting it I drag a brush all over it this knocks the excess water drops to ground level then it makes it that bit drier cutting it later
