It seems that there are a few of us that are suffering issues with pages loading, whilst others are not :dunno: and it seems clear that it is somehow related to the script that runs as a page loads - sadly, that is where my knowledge ends really. @Webmaster is aware, and I am sure will be seeking advice from his tech support guru.

'tis very odd @shiney - GC is currently loading so fast for me that each page is literally instant. It takes me longer to open a Word document than it does to load a GC page.

        No problems here.
Although I did get logged out a couple of days ago, not sure why.

@fat controller Everything OK now. :blue thumb:

I usually just switch the computer off when I have a problem and it comes back quite happy. :)

No appreciable time delay now (apart from having very slow internet which they say should improve when they get a fibre box in the village - I won't hold my breath). The logging out was a nuisance as I never log out, but it's easy enough to log back in.

Word documents always take longer than loading GC pages.

With my slow internet, 'instant' means almost enough time to make a cuppa. :heehee:

          Hi JWK,

I just assumed I was using it via the 02 network, I don' have tapatalk, wi-fi, or a home computer.

I still think the problems are coming from GC as there are changes being made, such as the removal of tagging, the adding of mentioning and the removal of the background picture with the bench, campanula and seedlings etc and the adding of the plain green background.

This is really odd  @Anthony Rogers, I have just done a screen print whilst making this post - does this look different to the way you are seeing the site?

            Hi FC,

Yeah, it's totally different. I've lost all the background picture, it's just a plain green background now. All the picture has gone, nothing there at all.

The background on mine is the same as FC. Except I don't see it, except when refreshing, because I make the GC page fill the screen.

That suggests a couple of things to me (although I could be way off track as this is not my area of expertise), either the images stored in your phones cache are corrupted/missing (doubtful if you have just cleaned the cache), or the images can't be loaded which in turn might be the cause of the delays/hangs that others are experiencing. Just a suggestion - try going into your profile and switching to the other style with the blue clouds on the background - - does that load?

Yeah, I did the delete history/clear cache thingy yesterday after you told me how to.

I've tried the clouds 2013, and that has come on fine, everything there and complete. ( I have changed back to the plain green though as the clouds screen seems a lot brighter ).

It's a funny old thing, this lagging business. In the past I've suffered from it, but all seems good now :dunno:
