    Mines not too bad now, probably the best it's been in a week, I still have a plain green background though.

        Mine is a bit slower today, since I cleared out my cookies and cache, but it is not isolated to GC - I have been watching a few car reviews on YouTube and it is a tad sluggish at loading pages too tonight. Bearing in mind that I am running a 152mb internet connection, I can understand how yours might be a tad reluctant on the beautiful Isle....

          It's all back to normal again now. I've noticed that it's worse when more members are using the site between early and mid evening.

              Just a bit.....

              I must admit, I am really chuffed with my home network, and its connection to the outside world. I am currently running a gigabit wireless 'ac' router that delivers the full 152mb download wirelessly (it actually tops out at 159.43mb to be exact) with an upload speed of nearly 11mb; I have a 3Tb cloud server that allows me to access my files from anywhere in the world via the interweb, and all devices in the house (3 x PC, 3 x Android phones, 1 x colour laser printer, 1 x tablet PC and the Cloud server) all run with absolutely no lag whatsoever. I can operate and maintain my IT equipment from anywhere in the world, and in terms of speed and reliability, my works network and servers can only dream of coming close.

              I use my network mostly for media for the ladies of the house, and a mix of media and business for myself (often, it is quicker and easier to test apps that I build for work on my home setup than it is to work on our servers at work)

              Considering that I left the electronics industry nearly 20 years ago, it appears that I haven't lost my touch. :)

                There's hardly anyone on here this time of the morning and it's been slow for me. I've had to log in and out to try to get things moving. It's only happening on GC. It's been like this for a couple of days. :dunno:

                    No lagging at the moment but my alerts are still very hit and miss. Some are duplicated and others don't appear.

                        I've had the old problem return of pics failing to upload and after umpteen failed attempts having to go through the rigmarole of having to keep saving the image with a different name until the forum software will accept it.
