Back at home ( when I was a garden designer) I used Jasmin, near windows to get the lovely smell indoor, also a lemon tree in every garden.

My 2 older daughters are making perfumes from the roses, as we are moving soon to a new house I will have to find some good plants for them any recommendations

The fragrance of eleagnus is gorgeous Merleworld, I have a couple of different varieties with variegated leaves, name escapes me at the moment, such tiny insignificant flowers but boy what a scent, I have one planted near the drive remember the first time I smelt the scent spent ages sniffing all the nearby plants before realising where it was coming from :)
