Funny you should say that, my wife has always wanted a "willow pattern" bridge over our koi pool. It isn't beyond my capabilities but as the pool is only 12' X 9' it wouldn't look "right." We've an "imitation bridge" over where the water returns from the filter in the garage.

The acer variety is if I remember correctly, Palmatum Dissectum Atropurpurea. We've two, the other is three times the size of that one and now about 25 years old.

I don't want to hijack this thread (any more than I have already!). So if you're interested ("those who aren't, should look away now") you can the complete nearly thirty year's "history" of our garden with lots of photos on my; "Doghouse's Garden" thread.

Be warned, there's a lot of "rabbit" and it's very long!

I Have a back garden which is very sheltered from winds ,as we have a garage and two huts giving shelter to the back garden. my side garden is wide open to the winds as the public park's wide space's are across the road. with having these two different climates i have been pulling out plants (gone) at the side garden
and the same plants at the back garden are still blooming away happily . i have sweetpeas at the back garden 8 ft tall which are just starting to show full bloom :cnfs:. next year i will have to treat the gardens
as separate gardens:( . i will require to plant different plants in the side garden . music .
