I understand that some parts of cumbria have had floods in the last few days - as well as a hosepipe ban!

Does that means your not allowed to use a hose to wash away the mud left behind by the floods.

Only in Britain could we have such a situation.:cnfs:

    Up at 4.30 A.M. RAINING !!

Down the beach by 5, Rain slowly stopped, so now im going right off topic.:p

White bait were chucking themselves out of the sea, had a bucket of them, 4 mackerel & 3 scad.

Went on from there to Axmouth, got 6 bags of free horse poo, picked a load of samphire from the estuary, came home & prepared dinner of potato salad, samphire & devilled mackerel, all either grown, caught or foraged by myself.

Also got a box of chocolates, a ventolin inhaler (full) & a big log washed up on the shore. So not a bad day really.:)

They look like that after the Mackerel have chased them onto the beach Shiney:shk: Glad you got a bit of rain, still drier than a sun dried tomato left on the car dash board in death valley next to a packet of dessicant silica gel here.

Been off to west bay for a further fishing & gardening trip. Got some Charlotte spuds in for new potatoes for christmas & another sowing of mange tout.

Grass is getting green again here as well - wonder how long I can put it off before cutting it, or shall I just let the chickens out to eat it instead?

Garden is reverting to mud (being on clay), but it's forecast to be dry for the rest of the week, so hopefully it'll dry up a bit.
