anyone know what this is?

    this plant is doing very well under my apple tree but I dont remember planting it. Pretty sure its a self seeding annual as the area was bare over winter but as it hasnt flowered yet i cant be sure. CAnt remember what it looked like last summer either. Leaves are fairly thin and smooth with no hairs on either the leaf or stem. The root is woody and quite thick. It doesnt get very high (max 30cm) but spreads outwards quickly.

    Hi Helen , it looks like Myosotis... Forget me not. It has blue or pink small flowers in Spring and self seeds freely.

    could be but there are no hairs on this plant and the leaves are really quite large. I have forget me not and it differs quite a bit to this
