Totally out of context, as usual!! This is just a lighthearted discussion about a monument which most of us feel is inappropriate and downright ugly, or perhaps you could explain the reasoning behind it??

London Bombings were real ... but let's analize it a bit deeper

a war was orchestrated against a nation that is an oil producing nation ($$$$) .... (Iraq) ....

the father of the US president at the time (George Bush Snr) was cheesed off, as although he sponsered Saddam to cause a war in Kuwait, Saddam kicked out the US oil companies from Iraq, because the US took control of the oil fields, and Iraq only recieved just over £3 per barrel of oil

so, when Saddam told the American companies to push off, George Bush senior was told by his masters to instigate a war and get Saddam out, as many Americans ended up loosing their Lambourghini's and 5 star holiday apartments

sadly, those in the US and NATO congress voted against the war ....

then, when George Bush Junior came into power, he continued to push for a war (as prompted bt TPTB), got it sorted, and then needed another war to sort Saddam once and for all

when they said Saddam had weapons of mass destruction .... those who called the story bulls*it were quickly eliminated (Kelly comes to mind)

so, 9/11 was orchestrated, 2 planes.... 3 buildings fell .... buildings were rigged with expolsives according to many experts .... penatagon was hit with a missile as there was no plane wreckage etc (search google)

so, a whole nation was bombarded with weapons of mass destruction, including depleted uranium weapons ... thousands of innocent children, women and babies were killed and bombed on a daily basis .... search info from Wikileaks ... Julius Assange

and today .... who controls the oil fields of Iran? .... you guessed right ... the USA

so .... there is a lot more to the saga, but this is a gardening forum and not a conspiracy forum (BTW, conspiracy is a label that has been assigned to anyone who questions the truth)

so, to get back on track, assuming that you are a muslim and have had family bombed and killed for no reason, you may be cheesed off and try to take revenge ... hence the London bombings

so, that is the story in a nutshell and very simply put (I could carry on typing all night, but will leave it at that)

moral of the story .... don't look for conflict with nations just beacuse you are trying to make $$$ ... let everyone live in peace .... poke a hornets nest with a stick and eventually you will get stung

Libya is another one, but will leave that for another day as there is a lot behind the story that is not being published in the main stream media (which is controlled by TPTB) .... Iran will be next ... and Chavez (Venezuela) is on the radar ... oil producing nations with $$$$ and countries not part of the central world bank

this is all fact and can be googled

      peace

      Just wondered:D

I know politics come into most things, but there is a middle road, its not all black and white in such things.
As you must agree, you should not believe everything you read.
Newspapers are bad regarding reporting real news

I think the internet is worse.

      my father had a saying:

listen to what EVERYONE says ....

and only after you have listened to ALL sides of the story, make up your OWN mind

I actually believe just what I see...

What your read is only one side of the story from one person.

Tell me that this memorial is some kind of early April fools joke. It has to be.

I have no feelings either way as to whether a memorial should or shouldn't be erected, and perhaps to some it may become a place where they can help to come to terms with what happened. But that particular statue is a cross between a kicking donkey and the drum of a an old washing machine, and represents nothing more than a pile of junk.

A memorial of any sort, shouldn't be something which leads the observor to question its suitabity or concept.

A simple hedge enclosed rose garden would have been nicer.

I hate to be the one to say it, but that 'memorial' looks more like a trophy for the perpetrators of the atrocity.

It is a mangled steel girder. It says 'look what we did'.

I think it is extremely distasteful.

As for the conspiracy theory. I've seen the mockumentary. It is flawed on so many levels. And in any case, there is one major problem with the whole idea. America absolutely relies on the image that it portrays of itself, as being the powerful nation in the world in every way. The reality, as recent history has shown, is that America is not that tough at all. They've had financial collapses and are in one again now, their military efforts don't exactly go very well (have they ever actually won a war? I can't think of one - lets not forget that the war of independence was not really an American victory, it was a victory of British and European settlers rebelling against the British government).

With the facts as they are, why on earth would anyone in the US want to bust that myth in such a potent manner?

Sorry *dim* that thread is a bit too long for me to read, all I know is that the conspiracy theorists have gone remarkably quiet since the photos of the landing site and moon buggy a week ago.

clueless1, I think you have a good point about it being a trophy for the other side.

Well it's a pity no-one (even me) can see anything positive about the monument especially given todays date.

LOL .... no, the debate still rages on:

Probe pictures Moon landing sites , page 1

but don't worry, I know how you feel when people tell you that the Apollo 11 moonlanding was a hoax....

you feel the same as when you were a child and found out that Father Christmas and the Tooth fairy were fake ....

              :)
