They aren't good at sticking to diagnoses it seems Kaz - I am still waiting for an answer to a problem I went to the GP with two years ago; in fact, I am with a new GP that I haven't seen yet, so goodness knows what I'll get told when I finally go in.

Fingers crossed that you get sorted soon.

I had all sorts of grief with my spine in my early 20's that the doctor at the time said that they believed was osteoarthritis - - threw me one hell of a curveball at the time, to be told that at 24, however I eventually got my head round it and got on with things.

Two years ago, the spinal pain is no worse but no better, but I start getting pain in my feet, ankles, neck, arms, wrists, hands and so on, so I trots off back to the doctor (different doc as we'd moved) - - he reckoned that the original diagnosis was 'potentially' wrong, and that I could have rheumatoid arthritis, so did blood tests. These showed up nothing, so he suggested it could be something like sero-negative arthritis (or something like that), but it was never proven; fibromyalgia was also mentioned, but again never proven.

To be honest, I got fed up of being a pin cushion for blood tests so threw myself into work and the garden and got on with things, and haven't been back since. I will have to go at some point, because things are no better (I get flare ups, but even good weeks aren't great), but I am dreading the rigmarole that usually follows, to end up with no answers.

its no joke it is. ! when were you last tested for anything, it was the same getting my Mother in law diagnosed afterwards the specialist said its more like a tick chart and there isnt a definate way to diagnose a lot of these condition, so having ticked off so many of the tick chart they say she has lupus 95% sure i suppose thats as good as it gets lol

i have always just buckled down and got on with it, my daughter says except for when i had surgery on my ear over 10 years ago she has never known to be not soldiering on ...... but i just cant do it ... the list to do gets longer the house is meeting me at the stairs if you know what i mean, the garden hasnt even been Put to bed if you know what i mean... i still have tommie and cue plants dead and whithered in the greenhouse, the last time i was at the plot was to take the delievery of the manure and i think that was over five weeks ago..... grand daughter dragged me in the garden to lift the carrots the other day and i pulled the parsnips at the same time, i have never spent so much time sleeping, weeping and feeling so exhausted the slighted bit of work the room is swimming and the party turns up in my head, i do actually hope that is is the thyriod because that is treatable !
