Thanks for the tip, I do have the alert on but the email telling me about your reply seems to want to find its way into the junk mail - I am sure if I keep removing it my iPad will learn as I do.

I love fungi and have always been told that having it in the garden is a sign of a healthy soil unless it is the dreaded honey fungus. The beetle photo is amazing but a little creepy:sad:

Hi Sheal hope you are well. yes I can't believe we have so many types and as the season stops as I thought others seem to appear :) Think I need to find a book about them before I can make a good mushroom soup with them :heehee:

I think you need more than a book to expand your knowledge Apple Blossom. It takes a long while to learn what is edible and what isn't, so please don't risk eating anything from your garden, it's too dangerous.

I agree, they just all look so appetising. I've found out that here in the New Forrest they do a foraging day out to learn more about what is edible and not edible...... but thereafter would I trust myself to collect the right type....... probably NOT :heehee::heehee:

Hi Beckie, I've come up to Chester to be with him, its be one visit after another to hospitals, I'm glad I'm here as he said he has no interest in food .... until I cook him a 3 course meal... I can't eat all of that.... oh that was lovely.. plates all clean and empty :)

Joking aside, I am worried, it all started in December, and in 87 years this is the first time he has ever been in hospital so everything is new for him. Fingers crossed all will be well as he has always been very active and fit.

His op is next week so fingers crossed all will be well :)
