Apple Blossoms photos

Time is valuable and I'm sure you will make the most of it with your dad Apple Blossom. I hope that the services provided for him at home will give him some comfort too.

 

While Dad was having his sleep this afternoon I went for a stroll for an hour and took some photo's

Lovely pictures Apple Blossom. It's a good few years since I was last in Chester, it's a lovely city.

Hi Sheal, he's not too good, but I have him walking short distances four times a day to strengthen him up. He's been told that if he doesn't exercise he will have to wear stockings, so with that threat.... he's up and giving it a good go

He's been so independent and just can't get over that the week before he took ill, he was dancing 3 times a week and swimming on 2. He gets frustrated as he's always been so able before. I'm trying not to wait on him hand and foot so that he can still do things himself He was offered a wheel chair today.... I won't put on here what he said to that one . He still has his sense of humour so can still have a laugh Thank you for asking

 

I'm sorry your dad's not so well @Apple Blossom. I think when someone has been active for so long it's a shock to the system when that's taken away. The mental adjustment to a different way of living can't be easy. I think the wheelchair is probably seen as a last resort and I can understand the way your dad feels about that. My dad was wheelchair bound at a relatively early age (52) and he found it very hard to accept, as he was mentally and physically active until then.

I'm glad to hear he's still laughing, a sense of humour gets us over the hurdles.

 

At our little, 10 members local photo club, we had to think about the monthly topic February...

So I put in 3 photo's today and it was the first time since CG I put something public... I was so nervous... but I got some really good constructive feedback

I've been enjoying the good weather over the last couple of days so between the gardening and walking Tess I've been putting my camera to use.....

My little robin is still enjoying the grubs I churn up...




Tess has been introducing herself..... she's almost as big and she's so chilled out its amazing...



I took a trip to Salisbury and thought of you @Anthony Rogers



And then I found a Alpaca farm so couldn't resist the temptation to have a peep....



And this one just made me laugh.... they are such lovely creatures, so gentle and inquisitive I could have spent all day photographing them... the farm wasn't open so I pretended to be a photographer and donated £10 but took lots and lots of photo's, the owner has invited me back... but she hasn't seen the quality of my photo's!!!

PS.... I'm just relieved that you didn't say that you thought of ne while taking the last photo

 

When I took Tess for her morning walk a week ago, she chased a fox so I took a look at where it bolted from and it seem to be a very cosy place, lots of hair as though it was a regular resting place..

So with patience I have visited the area on a daily basis and been very quiet on approach and kept Tess on a lead.....

And as they say.... patience is a virtue .... It popped its head up slightly



And then that golden shot.... the sun just came over the area and it lifted its head.... so worth the patience and wait....
