Apple tree advice

    Discovery apples are self sterile. If the nursery it came fromlabelled it as self fertile, you could take it back. But even self-fertile apples crop better with a pollinator around the place. If you have gardens near you with apples trees or crab apple trees, the likelihood is there will be a pollinator within bee range anyway.

    Can't take it back - 250 miles away from me !! I don't live in my home county of Norfolk now .. been all round the estate and that is the only fruit tree ! Not too far from me so here's hoping, and I do have lots of plants in my garden which attract the bees .... I would go buy another, but the trees in the garden centres around here are a ridiculous price .... Val
