Maybe one of my early childhood books will now become popular again, anybody remember the adventures of Archie Acorn, Cuthbert Conker, Malcolm Mushroom, Clara Catterpillar, etc.?

                  "Oh Judy, Judy, Judy!"

                  Don't put yourself down.

It wan't a correction. I gave his full name. Yes, we can assume his mum called him "Archie,"

I remember the Archie Acorn series of books from the 1950's, great stuff.
Also remember the US comic strip Archie that Redstar mentioned.

Oh you posh young people with childhood memories in colour, and with Characters with names! [IMG]

In my younger years our Legos were not that sophisticated and the characters were pine cones with twigs for limbs. :old:

But back towards the topic, Archie is surprising, but it's growing on me. Plain, no-nonsense fun name. It could have been Apple Pit Soho or Half Past Seven.

Well, its possible he could have red hair. then be just like Archie of the comic strip.
