Are tree surgeons expensive?

    Ah, David. One of them was using council costings. That's what the tax payer would pay. :mad:

    Overall, I would say it took 2 of them about 3 days. And I am not joking but the conifer must have been 100 years old? It was huge. The girth must have been 12ft.

    Oh, I suppose thats fair then David.
    Wonder if there was any useable timber there then.

    I doubt it,probably too knoty to be of comercial benifit.

    Actually they were a pair of lads who lived with their mother and who used a wood burning stove. John, the council guy had already done work for the family at a fair rate but in the meantime the husband had passed away, need I say more? Incidentlly John, the husband was also in the medical profession, and, I might add, a very nice man to know.
