Nobody panicking here yet. We have ten people here for Christmas Day and Mrs Trunky, as ever, has everything under control. Her middle name is organised, I just look on in admiration and offer assistance/follow instructions as required.


Here's something which might just help you chill out on Christmas Eve. I like the look of this, it certainly provides an interesting alternative to most of the cacophonous drivel which will be on offer.

My first mother in law was like that, she made the major holiday meals look effortless. I watched with wonder and learned all I could. Then came the second mother in law, quite the opposite. LOL.

Just remembered I still need to coat the rum balls. I have used the same recipe to make them every year and every year I discover that I need to add a lot more rum than called for as they are too dry and crumbly otherwise.

 

I'd be interested to see the recipe for that. Mr Jane would like some of them I reckon
