Sorry *dim*, but you cant just wander around the world and expect the British tax payer to bail you out when things get dicey. I have no doubt they are great people, but once they decided to stay on after independence, they, (in my view), gave up all rights to being British and became Zimbawian. And I'm sure most Chinese in the UK would class themselves Chinese when it suits them, and British when that is appropriate.
