I suppose you would have found though by drawing one a day your technique has quickly improved. I've found that with my digital work.

I think your sketch is lovely Jane! Last summer I decided to pick up the pencils again after not drawing since school. I love drawing flowers too Dips! I only got around to doing these three
though: echinacea, crocosmia and clematis (and am obviously very rusty!). However, a friend who came to stay last July did this one of our house and garden:

Actually Jane no, i have never found that practice makes perfect works with me. Im a bit of the opposite the more i do something the more i make mistakes and it becomes worse.

I hadnt drawn for four years and was never ever good at flowers. Seems that four year break did me good though lol i think the drawings have been up and down but mainly based on my mood and if i was trying to make it look good. If i try and want it to look good it comes out bad if i dont care and dont try it turns out good.

Think im just a bit flukey like that

@Lorea i love your flowers they are really delicate and pretty. What medium did you use?

So the drawing challenge is over :hapfeet:i loved it but i'm glad i wont be drawing every day from now on. Think i may do it again next year and give drawing people i go. Could be disastrous.

Here is day 27: it looks more like an orchid rather than an everlasting pea but hey ho

and here is day 28: i did two, daffodil 'itzim' and British bluebell

Great stuff. Have you thought about branching out and drawing insects too? Would love to see a bumble bee or dragonfly would work well with your techniques. :)
