All the above pictures are really lovely, I really wish I had a talent for drawing, but I never improved past the five year old stage (literally) it is my worst failure, but the thing I loved most at school! Very frustrating!

Gave janes suggestion of a bee a go today

I used water soluble pencils, tipex and 0.3 pen

Honestly im chuffed with it. I like it so much its replaced some old art foundation work and made it into one of the frames that line the wall up my stairs.

So not a drawing or a painting but my version of a modern art installation :snork:

After all what else are you suppose to do with empty coke bottles surely the logical answer is always pour acrylic paint into them and display them on a window sill lol

such a pain to dust tho! so i kind of don't :heehee:

sketch wise tho im working on a hydrangea. I'm only part of the way through at the moment

Going to be doing a blue flower series that I will be selling to raise money for the charity Invest in ME during may as its ME awareness month/week/day then

im hoping someone will want to buy them. So far i can only think of a blue poppy, glory of the snow, grape hyacinth and forgot me not that are blue so if anyone has any blue plant suggestions that would be amazing!

Just as an idea I've just quickly grabbed a couple of photos of Mrs Shiney's blue paintings. I didn't bother to take them off the wall and photograph them properly, without reflections and in proper light, as this thread is not her showcase.

@shiney they are lovely and so delicate looking. Tell her i'm quite jealous as I cant do delicate lol

and i wouldn't expect you to take them off the wall and photography them properly because frankly that is just long

what is the second flower? i know it and the name is somewhere in my head but i cant seem to find it right now

@Dips It's Morning Glory :blue thumb:

She has done some really lovely delicate paintings but doesn't restrict herself just to those. :)

Then just finished this birthday card today. Its for a girl who has been in hospital 7 months now with severe ME. She turns 19 this month and her mum has asked people to send in cards so i made this one. Her mum said her fav flower is pink roses so i hope she likes it

Thanks Dips. I keep thinking I should add colour to them though. As I think some look rather sparse.

Noooo dont i like the sparseness its cold and isolated and quiet and i think thats why it works because it makes it beautiful.

I think anything else would make it overworked
