Hi. As far as I know, there's no danger, unless it's abraded in some way. It's the dust you have to be aware of.

    Cheers...freddy.

this has made a very interesting read guys the different asbestos, dont know which i have got only know they have covered the whole area for the dust and its been in the fascias above windows probably for over 50 years since these flats were put up.

jazmine thanks it certainly has been one thing or another these past few months lets hope this is the last thing apart from gas board coming on thursday to change the gas box and its on my balcony right near my climbers.

i remember years ago, when i worked in the chemical industry, there was a section of the plant to be
removed.this was a huge building ,built with brick and finished on the exterior with corrugated sheeting. when this building had been built ,loads of asbestos had been used in the construction .
when the company came to remove the asbestos,it was like something from n.a.s.a.
the operators where dressed in ,like space suits with helmits and breathing apparatus. they collected the asbestos in special bags which where sealed at once.when they were leaving the building they had to go through a polythene tunnel, then they had to enter a decontamination unit.change out of there safety equipment, and shower immediately.the whole building was covered in special heavy duty polythene.it must have cost the company a fortune for that removal. in saying that i do believe there was more than asbestos involved in that operation. well it was a chemical plant!!!.
and it did contain a lot of carcagenics. music.

hi all well the company put boards up at back and since early this morning the boards came loose with the gale force winds i was that frightened i couldnt get a hold of the council so i called the fire brigade they came out and called the council never believe what they said we dont know when someone will call out, so fire brigade jumped out my bedroom window on the 3rd floor onto the scaffolding and pulled all the large boards down and they looked up onto flat roof and the workers left a load of scaffolding and large boards and said the council had best be told as the wind could flip them up and they could fly off the flat roof, called council and they dont seem bothered is this a disgrace or what, my hubby got on phone to council and told them of building precedure and said iff anything flies off the roof it could kill someone, council blamed the fire brigade for not going on roof and removing the boards etc, my hubby told them its your workers not the fire brigade, so we are left with all this danger above us with these gale force winds. last night i could hear something banging above my bedroom ceiling its must be the boards.putting pics up shortly of the mess

this was all quite frightening this morning heres pics.i went out in the back with a council worker and on the top of the roof is a pile of these boards on top of the flat roof, apparently workers wont go up till wind dies down later on so lets hope the wood panels dont fly off the roof
