@Fern4 Erigeron is soo pretty and very easy to grow. I have Mexican Fleabane, Pink Jewel and Sea Breeze ( or might be Blossom, can't remember). The latter has larger flowers and last year was a magnet for the Beds and Butterflies:).

I do have a Big garden but it's newly created so hasn't been planted up yet. I have Chives and yellow Iris to put in so far.

Do you have hedgehogs in your garden?

I had hedgehogs in my last garden but I haven't seen any here in my new garden. Any tips for encouraging them? I reckon there's some hiding somewhere. :snorky:

A lot of hogs are still hibernating but should be up and about soon. I've got a couple awake plus my over wintering hogs. Ascertaining whether there are hogs in your general area is a good idea. Perhaps ask neighbours. Even if you don't know if they are in your area you can still make your garden hedgehog friendly to encourage them. Now is a very good time as when they wake from hibernating they will be looking for food and then mates and will travel over long distances to find both. Log piles, rock piles, grass cuttings piles and compost heaps will encourage insects and hogs love warm places to sleep like the compost or grass heaps. Grow stuff like redcurrant, raspberry and strawberry as hogs will eat these - but so will the birds :snorky:. Leave your grass grow long and allow a place where it can become very overgrown. Plant shrubs and hedges if you have space for the hogs to root about under and take shelter in. You can put a hog house in your garden but they are quite expensive to buy, so a home made might be better until you know if you have hogs or not.

There was a hedge hog outside the back door a few months back, rolled into a ball. Had no idea what it was until hubby told me. I have also seen one in the garden a couple of times.

Yes, a few people - Gary Barlow, Tony Hadley, Chris Akabussi, Dale Winton, Seal, Les Dennis, Bradley Walsh, to name a few. I had a friend that worked at a TV studio (now closed), so I was always there.

Other than gardening, do you have any hobbies?

Nothing that scary except when i was a kid, I climbed up and got stuck on the school roof. I thought I'd be up there for ages and no one would find me plus I thought I'd be in big trouble with the headmaster and my dad wouldn't be very happy either!

Where's your favourite place in the UK?
