    Cheers GW, you inspired me with your mouth watering 'Orange Crush', thought I would make more of an effort :D I took them today, good cloud cover and no colour draining sunshine [​IMG]

    How hard is it going to be this month to vote? :eek: Every pic is fantastic, choosing 3 is nigh on impossible, and there's still ages to go until the end :eek:

    Cheers MF, the Albizia has a good spread of blooms yet to come but I have been waiting for one to open to snap in August. I took my best ones on the 29th of July :rolleyes: but I was fairly pleased with this one today.

    WACO, is that a vareigated Arundo Donax next to your lovely ligularia ?

    yes it is BM got it off ebay - bit dissapointed with it
    1 - colour variation looked poor when it arrived (much better now
    2 - then found out it was not hardy!!!! love it now though.

    I grow the bog standard arundo donax which is quite hardy for me. I will take some pictures for you, it does me at least 10feet in a season. If you want I have some shoots ripe for rooting, I will get some going and send them up :D

    [​IMG] BM, how old is you Albezia??? Is this the 1st time it has bloomed?? Mine is a few years old but sign of flowers yet..... :(

    My aunt lost her Variegated Arundo to frost and she is Bedford. But the straight green arundo should be fine. I did some this morning just in case you did want some. They usually take a few weeks to root nicely. I will send them up with damp roots, and if you pot them on and over winter them they should be fine in a pot next year. Over-winter again under glass and should be fine planted out full time the folowing year. :D just Pm me your address and i will send them up :D

    [​IMG] I grew mine from seed under glass & I have put it out for the summer for the last 3 yrs.. I suppose it is around 5yrs this year.... It is about the same size as yours though... Well will see what next year brings then..... Thanks BM.... :D

    Oh I just have to get some "Under glass"

    I mean I have two huge stables 16 ft X 14 ft times two, can't do horse anymore and all this space. Can't do "Urban jungle" on my HOT HOT south facing concrete #(where horse used to live - cos he wants his bonfire there AAHHHHH MEN AND BONFIRES!

    so what do I do with this space?
