Sneaking in before closing time, here's a caterpillar I found visiting my mint plants:

And some very unwelcome visitors - I put a perimeter of slug pellets about a foot around my sole surviving runner bean, and one day went to inspect its growth and found a whole graveyard of snails! Here are a few of them:

    Judging

Will be done by you the users, I will give my own impression on my favourites, but by no way does my vote carry any special merit (as it is only my 2 penneth ;) ).

This way, you can all have a voice in favourites.

When judging, please add a brief reason why you picked the particular picture, and please award 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

I will start a fresh thread just after midnight on the 1st September 2005, and will let it run for 3 days, and then lock the thread just after midnight on 4th September 2005.

I hope my decision on this matter is okay with you the users (I have had a couple of PM's requesting this).

    thanks

    Nathan.

Got rid of old Richards balloon, though this was better, starling bath time, they form an orderly queue every afternoon

I presume the new thread is for the members votes rather than the September competition and if so think this is spot on.

As a PS I like the idea of a theme for every month

[IMG] OK this is my third entry. Cheeky chappie only just managed to snap him before he dipped under.
The frogs seam to love this really weedy little corner the best of the pond
