Thank you Mum, loli, Jenny and Lorea for your kindness. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

We said at the very beginning we would not get 'attached' to the river cats ... but life is life!

Little Beija took ours as her only home and you can only fall in love with her being blind in one eye, no voice and breathing difficulties and it took at least 4/5 months before she let us touch her. I used antibiotic creams in her eye to eliminate her stress with it and treat them regularly with Panacur which clears lungworm in cats (which I think they have) and I have had to have it sent from the UK as it is not available here. I do what I can for her and she comes when she is called. Sadly, t'other half had secretly decided he would bring Cruz home with us so it hit him.

The next thing on our agenda is to get Beija spayed so we don't have to go through this again.

Jenny, I have a superb link about feral cats if you are interested in it ... would not like to put it up here.

    :grphg: to you all. xx

Update ... Beija was pregnant again and gave birth on 23 July to one that we know of but it 'disappeared' ...

The Charity we support contributed to her spaying which was done this week ... we had to only pay €30 ...

The vet was very worried about her and said she lost her eye and voice through cat flu and suspects she has Aids, which obviously all the cats on the site would have. She only weighs 2,5ks. We refused testing because if it was positive we would have to have her euthanised.

We are distressed enough as it is with our darling Calvos missing now nearly five weeks .. I can't do this ... I am in tears at the moment, sorry ... must go xx
