Once upon a time, so I read in a paper, so it must be true, you could hire a hitman for a tenner. I think the pub was in Fulham, sarf west lunnon.

The only other idea, if you can get them to pay out, is suggest they pave the whole garden over. If you point out they won't have to maintain it they might take it on board.

      Quick suggestion!

When this all hits the fan, and Grumpy and Ziggy are in the dock alongside Melanie (because of her "the internet told me to do it" defence), can youse two make a point of waving at the court artist please?

'Cause the usual court drawings need livening up.

So will this stuff defo do the job at killing thier overgrown jungle grass then, the one thats in the link below ???

I aint taking anymore of this garbage from this neighbour as they are idiots anyway and as I have said before they dont even come out the back door of the house where the grass is except maybe once a year and thats just to cut it and then they leave it till the next year, they are idiots, fullstop.

They have told me face to face they dont care or are even interested in the garden, they dont have pets or kids and they dont use the garden at all, in other words they said do what you like , so I will and thats to kill all thier massive grass off from about 2-3ft away from thier side of the fence and that way when they cut it this time next year I wont have to clean up all the mess after them on my side as there will be a big stripe of dead grass about 3ft wide going right down thier side of the fence, that is only fair I think, especially when your dealing with idiots like this.

They wont involve the law or the council as that on its own is going against them as they would then be made big time to cut the grass regular, so there is absolutley no chance that they will involve anyone, I know it and they know it.

I called a large DIY store today and they told me to buy some stuff called something like dead kill, and also a pump spray bottle thing, but the price is high, they were quoting 20 for the killer and 20 for the pump sprayer, I thought that was very high price concidering the price I see that this person has posted a link of a similar product, but is it as good, thats the question ??

the diy store said I would only need to use the stuff they recommended at most twice a year, so I dont know if the stuff in the posted link is as good as that, is it ???

“Nuke the entire site from orbit--it's the only way to be sure” :D.........sorry Melanie, couldn't resist (a line from one of my favourite films :o)

Seriously though if you go down the route of weedkilling it just be careful, these neighbours who normally don't give a t**s suddenly become interested once you give them ammunition to use against 'you'..

The local council would surely help; round here council tenants can face eviction if your gardens aren't kept in reasonable condition and warnings are ignored...

        Just be careful :thumb:

yes these people could be reported in 2 seconds, but that doesnt have an effect as they have been reported before, so its time to take things into our own hands as the place is like an absolute shambles, a disgrace, and as I keep saying, they only even open the back door to the garden about once a year and thats to cut down the jungle of weeds and grass and then we have to clean up all the mess on our side too, its beyond a joke

Whilst Gardeners Corner and its members cannot condone the use of chemicals to control weeds on land not belonging to an individual, the use of gyphosate would certainly be the bad boy for the job if it were to do so:cool:

Suppose these neighbours declared that they were leaving this land to naturalize for the benefit of drawing insects and butterflies and wild flowers to their plot and you go weedkilling a strip right down their side of the fence. If that were me I would not be amused. Whilst I would hate to live next door to a similar situation you must leave each to their own. If the council cannot enforce them to keep their garden tidy I cannot see that you have a right to take the law into your own hands. I say this to save you from any backlash from taking such action. Think carefully before you take this step!

I wonder what the neighbours will think of their neighbour from hell after you weed kill their garden. No one could blame them if they decided to weedkill yours in revenge..

The problem is your fence isnt up to the job, so sort the fence out and leave your neighbours alone.
