I have a different problem with our 'eldery' neighbour

everytime I have a BBQ, she phones the 'environmental police' and complains about 'smoke pollution'

strange old lady .... she is like a meercat .... always peeping through the curtains whenever someone walks past, and inspects all the cars in the road on a regular basis to ensure that the car tax is up to date, or else she phones the DVLA

other to that, she has an impeccable garden ... spends most days planting/weeding etc (she grows most of her plants from seed/dividing in her greenhouse) and I could learn a lot from her, but she is very introvert, and does not speak to any neighbours

unfortunately for her, I'm South African, and I even BBQ in the snow ... so, we do not see 'eye to eye', and doubt we ever will (tommorows pork spare ribs are in the fridge marinating for tomorrows BBQ) ....

I've just been to see my Mum. A lady who lives upstairs from her was very upset by the raucous party her neighbours held the other night. At 9.30 pm on the night of the revels, she rang Mum to whinge about the hellish noise and announced she was going to call the cops. Mum, who is the tolerant type, said it was rather early in the evening to think about extreme measures and anyway the police probably wouldn't turn out to deal with a party. 'But I'm trying to have a quiet hour with Jesus!', came the reply. Amazingly, the boys in blue did turn up. Perhaps the neighbour has a hotline to the Almighty.

This thread is such an obvious wind up that it amazes me just how long it has taken some of you old and wise peeps to recognise that fact

We're doing sterling work with regard to wandering from the point, though, don't you think Whis4ey?

Off course it is a wind up
Anyone who thinks weedkilling a metre wide strip of grass along the wrong side of the fence and does not realise they would have to see the remaining 20 feet of untreated meadow
Then the come backs and non acceptance of any advice is a pest that needs controlled,
Best to keep feeding it before it escapes back under the bridge good laugh thread all round, WITH serious advice given but trampled over
(hey you could do that to the grass Melamaniac)

LOL @ everyone who thinks this is a wind'up, it most certainly isnt, but this does make for some very interesting reading and points raised, and also funny too.

            p.s
the trees I planted are trimmed at 6 or 7ft, think the legal limit is 6ft, but if thats the case and someone moans about them I can easily trim them down a foot, easy stuff.
