I know it's easy for us all to say 'cut it back Rosa, it will grow back' but it's still going to be so upsetting for you Rosa I'm sure if you do have to do it.Hel.xxx.

helen I have been out today and moved some pots and teared down some plants, I dont know how i am going to move my arch, above the window i have put wood trellis and my climbers are growing over the arch and above the window, just dont know what to do, the wood trellis will have to come down before they put the window in, its taken 2 years to grow my climbers and i have just got them the way i wanted them.

Dee I'm not sure Rosa's built like a heavy weight wrestler :D
I'm sure it will take an awful lot to move in all one go maybe we should all come and give you a hand Rosa?
Then all you would have to do would be to boss us around and supply us with plenty of cuppas and bacon butties of course!Hel.xxx.

The easiest way would be to slip them a few ££ so they take it through the house, they may do this anyway as Im not sure if theyd be prepared to rest ladders againt the balustrade (I wouldnt).

dee and helen the problem i have is above the kitchen window i put trellis and attached it to the arch and my climbers have grown over the arch and onto and along the trellis, i,m going to have to take the trellis down so they can do the window so the only alternative i have will be to cut back my climbers, a bit upset about this as my passion flower is growing lovely.
yes come and give me a hand plenty of bacon butties and milky coffee on the go :D
pro gard, iff they cant carry the window up the stairs and through my flat they will put those frames up outside forgot the name of them now, they did that for my bedroom window last year.
im 3 flights up so they wont use ladders too dangerous, my window cleaner is the only one with ladders tht big to get up to my windows, no other window cleaner in my area has these ladders, so i wouldnt like to upset him. :D

nathan7 I have been out their today taken all my lights down, moved some pots and pulled the trellis down, i,m getting their will wait till the new window is put in and basically start again.
kandy i just used scissors i couldnt find my secaters there wasnt much to pull down in the way of plants, saved one over my arch, now i need to take a large table out of the corner and replace it with a smaller table so that the arch will just pull out, that has been hard work today, will get out their again tommorow for an hour.

well here is the big clean up on the balcony, as you can see its not a question now of taking the window out and putting a new one in, all that would to the left is part of the window it goes up to my back door, that wood bit on the left is a cupboard and the water heater boiler is in there.

Mmm..Major surgery there rosa. It's usual to remove the entire screen and door when fitting UPVC. Pointless to leave half in single glazed timber....Is that what they intend doing?

pal, i dont know their intentions yet, once they arrive back or call me to arrange the window will have to discuss what their intentions are, they cant really just put the window in and the side is attached in one across to the back door, I want the entire job done properly not half finished.
