I want some monkey slippers like big mini 'Nana!!!! [IMG] [IMG]

I have wrapped my Musas and Ensettee in fleece, so hopefully the "trunk" will survive.

My Brug goes into the greenhouse (unheated). Its first winter here it caught the frost and I lost the trunk, so had to start back from ground level.

My Lasiocarpa will be dug up and put in the greenhouse and my Elephant Ears will have a bucket of fleece or straw over the top.

The TF's will just have the crown stuffed with straw...

BM what are you doing with your T Rex? I haven't a clue what to do with it!!!! It is flowering like mad and the leaves have been fantastic - can't wait for 2008!!!!

..... but I absolutely adore the cold crisp frosty days we get in January!!!!

Are you wrapping your trunks or letting them go back to ground level??

T-rex's I am told are ok, but you may lose the tip. They grow like mad so not a issue ?

Mine are being covered in one sheet of landscaping fabric (much like a fleece) laid over rather than wrapped just to keep the air frost off.

The bananas won't die completely I am prepared to lose a couple of feet of trunk. Trials with much smaller bananas suggest that in my garden I will be ok.

I have been thinking about the brug and its going to get a 2 layer cylinder wrap of corrugated PVC with some weathering on top (aka a binbag) ;)

I can send you mini bananamans slippers but they are a bit holey :D

Their christmas present arrived today, I can't wait to drive it with them on the deck [IMG]
